That's right it's Friday and time for the weekly picture. So, does anybody have a Frisbee?

Oh, and just an aside, I didn't get the CDs in the mail Thursday. :(

I can't believe I am so tired. I feel like I have been hit by a mack truck. I tried to do some reading this morning and could barely keep my eyes open. I tried writing some music and had the same reaction. So, I decided to lay down and take a nap. Of course, when I tried that, I couldn't get any rest. My leg was twitching and Dustie the Cat was whining in the hallway.

So, that has been my morning. I am looking forward to the afternoon if this feeling moves on. I am hoping to receive some CDs in the mail today. :)

These aren't my preferred musical groups, but I love getting more music in the house and we don't have any Cheap Trick or Mahavishnu Orchestra. With regard to Fleetwood Mac, Supertramp, and Traffic, these just help to fill out our collection.

As it is we have hundreds of CDs in the house, but I love a truly eclectic mix of musical styles. I could still spend thousands of dollars on more CDs. Maybe I should go listen to one to see if it keeps my eyes open.

Woohoo! It's haircut day. I always look forward to having my hair cut. I love having somebody else wash it. Then having somebody cutting it to above my ears and so short enough to let my head breath in the summer heat.

I enjoy the strange feeling when placing my head on the pillow at night after being used to having so much hair. I like not having to wipe my brow so much from sweating.

I have grown to hate the feeling of hair on my collar or on my ears. Oh, how I love to have my hair cut. What a wonderful morning this is going to be.

It's early and I've already paid the bills too. There's a need to stop at the P.O. and the bank. Hmmmm, and it's Wednesday which means The Wife is home today and we have Pogo to play. Oh, and shopping too! Have a good hump day all.

Friday night was nice and cozy with some ice cream and watching some recorded T.V. from Thursday night when The Wife had to work. Then, actually both of us having a good 7 hours of sleep before Dustie the Cat felt we had slept long enough and it was time for some attention.

Saturday was a wonderfully lazy day. The Wife sprayed her lemon substance on the Porch Garden to keep the flying insects from making babies in the soil. We took some photos for today's update on the Images page. Then, we watched a show on the Food Network about the wonderful variety of foods at Disney World.

Saturday night we had a blast with a couple bottles of wine, some goldfish, . . . Um, the edible goldfish, not the swimming kind. . . at a Pat Benatar 25th Anniversary concert. It was a really good show too. She sang many of her classic hits from '79 through the mid-eighties and a few off her new CD which sounded great, so we bought it for $10 at the show.

Back at home it was time to relax and have a small snack. Now, it's Sunday, The Wife is in bed, and I'm here updating the site. As I mentioned a couple paragraphs back, there are new Porch Garden photos. I have placed the new photos at the end of the old Porch Garden page and turned it into the current Images page again, so you'll need to scroll down that page to see the lastest photos. It's basically a "Where Are They Now" page. I tell ya, The Wife certainly has a green thumb.

Oh, there's also the archived Journal page, and the Birthdays in Music update for this week on the Recordings page (I just realized I was so lazy last week I never even updated the brithdays, sorry about that). And, lastly, I removed 2 dead links from the Links page.

With the 2004 Summer Olympics quickly approaching, and with everybody I know talking about getting older, needing to eat better and do some exercise, I thought this an appropriate photo. I know I feel better just looking at it. Thank God It's Friday and have a great weekend!

With the political conventions right around the corner, I thought is time to show my support for the two I think best suited for the job.

I'm kind of taking a break from the sight this week as you all have noticed. I will definitely have something new up this Sunday, if not sooner (Friday pic). And, if I feel inspired to share, I'll post right here. :)

I decided not to play with the web site today. Hence no real update. Just archived the Journal and started this weeks Journal.

Let's see how the days goes, could be a good one, could be a bad one. Sometimes you just never know.

I didn't sleep well at all last night. I'm not too sure why. I don't recall having any bizarre dreams or anything like that. Guess it was just one of those nights where sleep doesn't work well with me. I have always had trouble sleeping since about 1991 and I'm not sure why.

Prior to that I was a very sound sleeper. I use to sleep through rehearsals of the band I was in. We'd get together at the band's rented house in college and rehearse. During songs that I had no part in or where they'd need to get the horn section up to speed on something, I'd simply fall asleep on the couch.

I am getting awfully sick of sleeping on my left side while trying to avoid rolling over on my stitches. Maybe I was just overly cautious last night resulting in the lask of rest.

Anyway, it's Thursday, and the weekend is closing in. I need to go eat lunch and make sure Dustie the Cat is entertained. Have a great day!

Hmmm, the title of this post isn't really reflective of the weather outside today. It's raining and has been since yesterday afternoon. Oh, and it's supposed to continue like this until the weekend. So, I guess weather-wise, it's going to be a dreary ho-hum week.

I guess it would be good for me to tell you why I titled this post that way then. It's because I have posted a colorful poem that popped into my head this morning as I sat down at my computer. I have no clue what the initial trigger was for my thoughts this morning, but color was in my mind and the result is now in writing.

I really love when creativity just flows out of me. Oh, I guess from your perspective it might not be a creative piece, but no matter what you think of the piece, it was creativity that brought it out of me and into words.

Ramble, ramble, ramble, I know. Anyway, it's not like I have more than maybe 4 regular readers, just like Erando. I also get a few readers that stop by from time to time to see how things are going, but they aren't regulars.

The Wife and I had a pretty good weekend together. We took care of many errands and chores, watched a couple of movies, played some Pogo, did some cooking -n- drinking, and just had a great time together.

However, now I'm down in the basement having another drink and working on my site. So, what has happened to the site this Sunday?

Well, we have the obvious archiving of the Journal and the updating of the Birthdays in Music. I also have updated the Links page with a couple more links and a new Featured Link. I intend on doing a new Feature page, but am not sure if it'll get done before tomorrow morning. So, I decided to update the site with what I do have now (cause it's 10 minutes until dinner). If I can, I'll get the Feature put together before the end of the night.

But...for now...have yourself a great week! I love Sundays. They are the beginning of another page (not only for my web site) of ones life. The ending is the beginning. The end of the weekend, but the beginning of looking forward to the next weekend. The end of being lazy, but the beginning to an active week. The end of the two day party or home improvement project, but the beginning of plans for the future party or project. These are things that make Sundays not only the memory of the past, but the light for the future. Enjoy it while it lasts, 'cause it's ending to give way to another beginning.

I know, too philosophical, nah!!!

It's the middle of the summer, it's hot, and we all just need some time to relax in front of the fan.

Yesterday at around 4pm I took a Vicodin and a couple Tylenol for the pain after having the cyst removed. I became extremely groggy at about 5pm and napped until about 7:30.

I didn't feel anymore pain until about 9:30 and took 2 more Tylenol. That didn't help too much. I knew I wanted to go to bed by 11:30 so at 10:30 or so, I took another Vicodin. I tried an ice pack which helped a bit, but I still couldn't get to sleep. I was laying in bed until about 12:45am, when I had to just get up and walk due to be ansy for some reason.

Since The Wife had to work this morning, I decided not to wake her by getting back into bed, so I went to bed in the guest room. I found that if I would lay on my side I felt better. However, I still didn't really sleep. As a matter of fact, I think I slept a total of about 1 to 1.5 hours last night.

So, far today, I haven't taken any drugs and feel very sore, but want to see how bad it'll actually get. I'd prefer not taking anything, but might have to get the Tylenol.

I have paid bills, ordered some printer ink from online for delivery tomorrow, and have a few phone calls to make when the west coast goes to work. Until then, I think I'll take some time and go lay on my side for comfort.

Sorry don't know why that just popped in my head. Anyway, with regard to the last two days and no entry, I just really didn't have much to say. Hmmmm, guess I still don't, but . . .

Here's what's up for today. The Wife is home and we have a couple of errands to run. No, none at the post office, but I do have 14 certified with a return receipt parcels that need sending by next week. I sure am glad I had that nice Post Office clerk the other day. Oh, and, um, today I go in for that cyst removal at 2pm.

*sarcasm on* Oh joy, a needle for anesthesia, a knife to cut it out, and another needle to sew it up. *sarcasm off*
